  • 2 oz. Batchers’ Coffee Bourbon
  • 0.75 oz. Licor 43
  • 0.50 oz. Heavy Cream
  • Ground Nutmeg


  1. Combine all ingredients in shaker and shake.
  2. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg.

Litchfield Distillery Coffee Bourbon

Silver Medal Winner at the 2018 New York International Spirits Competition. Our Coffee Bourbon is quite unique. In fact, we’re not sure anything exists quite like it in the marketplace! We craft this spirit beginning with locally-roasted beans from Zero Prophet Coffee LLC in Washington, CT. We use their amazing “Torrefazione Washington” organic-coffee blend, which is equal parts Sumatra, Java, and Nicaragua beans. The beans are ground to cold-brew specifications and delivered to Litchfield Distillery where they steep for 24 hours in cold distilled water for maximum absorption. We then use the brew to proof down our Straight Bourbon Whiskey to 86 proof. The coffee adds a lot of wonderful earthy notes along with nice chocolate, toffee and pecan flavors. It’s great in cocktails or to sip neat as a digestif.

Nose: Cold-brew coffee with subtle notes of chocolate and cigar tobacco.

Palate: Dark roasted coffee notes followed by sweet toffee and slight mocha.

Finish: Medium finish with continued coffee notes on the palate and a touch of tiramisu and fortune cookie.
