Founders’ Reserve 10-Year Bourbon
Exclusive Release — only available at Litchfield Distillery!
We’re proud to announce the release of a 10-Year Founders’ Reserve Bourbon Whiskey, distilled from 100% CT-grown corn (70%), rye (25%), and malted barley (5%). This release features bourbon aged in some of the first barrels we ever filled at the distillery.
With the Angel’s Share reaching a point where we felt it was time to bottle, we wanted to preserve the amazing flavors that developed after a long rest.
Aged for 10 years in 30-gallon casks, this bourbon benefited from greater contact with charred oak than whiskey aged in traditional 53-gallon barrels. That increased wood exposure helped deepen its color and concentrate its flavor, resulting in a mature, full-flavored bourbon that is the oldest CT-grown bourbon whiskey available in the state.

Palate: Velvety smooth, offering layers of butterscotch, chocolate-covered cherry, tobacco, and well-integrated oak.
Finish: Long and smooth, opening with lingering sweetness before giving way to a touch of cinnamon spice.

Our Founders’ Reserve series highlights exceptional casks that deserve a special moment in the spotlight. These limited selections are made unanimously by all three Baker brothers: Peter, Jack and David Baker. Each brother personally signs every bottle that leaves the distillery with the Founders’ Reserve appellation.
