Supporting Those Who Serve: Our Third Annual Building Homes for Heroes Bourbon Fundraiser
At Litchfield Distillery, The Spirit of Hard Work® is more than a tagline—it’s a value that shapes how we craft our spirits and how we show up for our community. That’s why we’re proud to once again participate in the annual bourbon fundraiser benefiting Building Homes for Heroes, a nonprofit committed to gifting mortgage-free homes to injured veterans and first responders.
Now in its third year, this initiative is a true team effort, organized in partnership with NeJaime’s Wine & Spirits, the CT Bourbon Bastards, and Miles Finch Innovation. On September 18th, our organizing team, along with 35 guests, gathered at Litchfield Distillery to select two special barrels for the 2025 fundraising campaign.
Barrel No. 1: 6-Year Litchfield Distillery Bourbon Whiskey (100 Proof)
This year’s first release is a lush, full-flavored 6-Year Bourbon bottled at 100 proof—balanced, rich, and crafted with the same CT-Grown grains that make our whiskeys uniquely local. It is now available for purchase at these participating retailers:

Barrel No. 2: Cherry-Finished Bourbon Whiskey (114 Proof)
The second selection—a bold cherry-finished bourbon bottled at cask strength—will follow shortly. Due to the federal government shutdown, label approval is temporarily paused, but as soon as the TTB reopens, this exceptional release will join the campaign. We promise it will be worth the wait.

How to Support the Campaign
Every bottle sold contributes 100% of proceeds directly to Building Homes for Heroes. Bottles traditionally sell out quickly, so we encourage you to secure yours early by visiting one of the participating retailers or by contacting John at NeJaime’s Wine Shops (wines@snet.net).
