Litchfield Distillery Earns Spirit Competition Medals
Litchfield Distillery is proud to announce that several of our spirits earned recognition at recent international spirit competitions conducted this past spring. For some of the included expressions, it was the first time they were entered into formal tasting competitions. We are thrilled by their performance!
The American Spirits Council of Tasters Awards (ASCOT Awards) is an international spirits competition created by spirits personality and veteran tasting judge, Fred Minnick. What’s particularly exciting about this competition is that top scoring entries will advance to a championship round where there will be a taste off to determine Best in Categories and Best in Show. Our Port Cask Finish Bourbon is a Championship Finalist in the Special Barrel-Finished Bourbon category. The “taste off” will take place in June and will be broadcast on Youtube.

This is the first time we entered these three spirits into a competition. Needless to say, these results have us beaming with pride!
2021 NYISC Awards
We are ever grateful and humbled for being awarded the “Connecticut Whiskey Distillery of the Year” for the fourth year in a row! In addition, this was the first time we entered our CT-Grown and CT-Made 5-Year Double Barreled Bourbon into a tasting competition. We are extremely pleased that it took home a gold medal its first time out!
